Listed as one of the most important international airports in America and the first in the Caribbean, this airport is located in the town of Carolina, 5 km (3 miles) southeast of the city of San Juan. It operates with domestic flights and numerous international destinations in the Caribbean, North America, Panama, Colombia and Europe. It has four terminals, ATMs, bank, VIP lounges, plugs for electrical devices and Wi-Fi access pre-paid. There are restaurants, bars, fast food stores and coffee shops at the boarding level and check-in areas, as well as duty-free stores, convenience stores, souvenirs, clothing and electronics, mostly located on the second level of the terminals. Buses at the boarding level of Terminals A, D and E, make trips to different areas of the country on specific days and times. The taxi service can be requested at the arrivals level of terminals A and B.
