International Thurgood Marshall Airport
It is the largest of the three airports that serve the Baltimore-Washington, DC area. It is located about 16 km south of Baltimore and 51.4 km northeast of Washington, DC. Approximately a dozen airlines fly to the airport and passengers can fly nonstop from BWI to destinations throughout the United States, as well as to points in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Ground transportation includes taxis, buses, shuttles and train service. Car rental is also available and more than 10 car rental companies offer their services at BWI. Other passenger facilities include shops, restaurants, ATMs, a USO delegation, a pet area and a children’s play area.
