The airport is located 7 km (4.5 miles) to the southwest of the city of Ibiza and is the main means of communication with the outside of the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in Europe. It has ATMs, a currency exchange bureau (7:00 am to 10:00 pm), a mailbox, internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge. In the technical block there is a room for meetings and conferences. There are various bars, cafes, restaurants, fast food outlets and vending machines on both levels. Duty-free shops are located in the boarding area on the first floor, as well as shops for sweets, clothing and accessories, music, newspapers, books and souvenirs. Line 10 connects the airport with the Ibiza bus station, the Formentera maritime station, the port and the city of San Jorge, passing through various towns. Taxi ranks are located outside the arrivals hall and the journey to the city center takes around 20 minutes.
